SUMMARY:Hillsborough Commission Majority Poised To Raise Impact Fees
DESCRIPTION:In the midst of an economy seriously wounded by the Coronavirus\, Hillsborough Commission to vote on doubling impact fees for residential construction.  Components of the impact fees include transportation\, education\, and parks/recreation.  In addition to recently passed increases for education\, new fees supporting transportation would increase by 80%\, new fees for parks would increase by 750%.  While the need to invest in infrastructure is quite real\, the timing is ill advised.
