St. Pete picked Echelon & Third Lake Partners to handle the municipal center project. The city will have the use of the existing offices rent-free for three years. During that time the two firms will build new facilities nearby at 2nd Ave. N. & Fourth Street. The new location may also include an apartment tower. After the new facilities are complete, city employees will move to their new facility while the city’s current building is renovated providing office space of about 120,000 sq ft.
