St. Petersburg is seeking proposals to redevelop the 86 acre area where Tropicana Field and related parking currently sits. This will probably be one of Florida’s largest real estate developments in the 2020s. Developers must submit proposals by January and the city plans to select the developer by the end of 2021. Developers are being asked to present plans both with and without a stadium. The city plans to provide $75 million toward the project and the site is located in an Opportunity Zone.
