Data on the status of Tampa Bay’s commercial office market through the 2nd quarter are coming available. Tampa Bay’s overall commercial office vacancy rate was 14%. Downtown St. Pete had the lowest vacancy rate at 5%. The highest asking rental rate was $44 for downtown Tampa class A office space. At the end of the 2nd quarter the area had about 1,300,000 sq ft of office space under construction.
