One of Tampa’s finest hotels, Westin Tampa Waterside, sold for $68 million (real estate only). The full price including furniture etc. is thought to be about $85 million. This indicates a total price of about $284,000 per room which would represent a new record in the Tampa market. The 10 story 300 room hotel sits on a 1.5 acre waterfront site on Harbor Island. The buyer was Apollo Global Management. Apollo’s HQ is in New York and they manage over $400 billion of assets. The hotel is located at 725 S. Harbor Island Blvd.
